Digital Eye Strain is a big deal, but many people still don’t know about its dangers. Which is unfortunate because it’s the result of something we all do for hours on end each day: look at a screen.
The Vision Council 2016 annual report found that 88 percent of people spend more than two hours each day using a digital device. This constant exposure to electronic devices and technology is detrimental to our eyes and eye health. The Vision Council also found that 65 percent of Americans are reporting symptoms of Digital Eye Strain.
There are solutions that can ease the pain and protect your eyes. The best ways include taking breaks from looking at your screens, reducing the brightness and glare from your screens, and investing in a pair of computer glasses, even if you don’t normally wear glasses, to stop some of the dangerous blue light from reaching your eyes. It’s clear the amount of people suffering from Digital Eye Strain is increasing and Digital Eye Strain is becoming a huge issue. Make sure you protect your vision!
