Why you should choose Phonetic

Why you should choose Phonetic

As you may know, Phonetic Eyewear is not the only computer eyewear company on the market, but we do believe that we stand out among the competition! There are 4 main reasons that we believe Phonetic Computer Eyewear is a leader in online computer glasses: Lens selection, style, color, and price. But don’t take our word for it, see for yourself!

Lens Selection

Phonetic:

Did you know that Phonetic Computer Eyewear comes in 3 lens options? We offer non-prescription (plano) lenses, reading powers ranging from +0.25 through +3.00, and single vision prescription lenses. The only lenses we do not offer are bifocal progressive lenses.

Competitors:

Our closest competitors only offer non-prescription lenses and +0.25 magnification. And those that do offer prescription lenses, charge significant additional fees for them.

Style

Phonetic:

Phonetic offers over 70 different stylish frame options that come in at least 3 colors each. Some of our styles come in 6 or more different colors. We are consistently updating our styles to keep up with the latest trends, including our newest Italian line of 12 luxury frames hand-made in Italy with premium Italian acetate. Our glasses are stylish enough to wear every day in any setting.

Competitors:

Our Leading competitors offer as few as 4 styles and at most 30 frame styles. Many of which can appear to be stereotypical computer programmer or gamer glasses. They don’t compare to the fashion frames offered by eyewear retailers.

Color

Phonetic:

We offer glasses with clear, prescription quality lenses that contain a special coating that deflects a portion of the blue light, which reduces eyestrain and improves focus. The other portions of the color spectrum are not filtered, maintaining a sharp image. Phonetic lenses block approximately 35% of the light in the violet/blue spectrum (380 nm to 500 nm) and more than 50% of the light from 380 nm to 450 nm, which is the portion of the violet/blue spectrum with the highest energy content.

Competitors:

Most other computer glasses on the market today are tinted amber or yellow. The wearer many find these lenses too aesthetically unappealing. It should be noted that many of the top lens manufacturing companies have developed technology like ours in that it makes use of a deflective coating applied to a clear lens. However, these coatings are typically only available on prescription glasses costing hundreds of dollars. We attempted to find exact percentages of the blue light that is blocked or reflected by our competitors’ lenses and were unsuccessful.
